Burden of chronic diseases and their implications for health systems across Europe

Anne Staehr Johansen has spent most of her career in international organizations – World Bank, World Health Organization, and the European Commission – working on health and health policy issues. She has also worked in the Ministry of Health, Denmark, and served on the faculty in the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. Anne is a specialist in health policy, health system performance assessment, non-communicable diseases, and quality improvement. Her presentation at Prague International Health Summit 2016 was closely connected to her current work - Anne is part of the WHO expert team that is assessing the capacity of the health system in selected European countries to prevent and control non-communicable diseases.
