Ron Werft is a President and CEO of Cottage Health, a three-hospital not-for-profit system that provides a wide range of healthcare services in California: acute inpatient care as well as outpatient and emergency care. He has been in a leadership role at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for 29 years. Ron currently serves on the board of American Hospital Association Region IX Policy Board and is a Chair of the California Integrated Systems Council. At Prague International Health Summit 2016, Ron talked about his experience with hospital consolidation and building a new role for hospitals which goes beyond acute patient care.
