Martin de Villiers is an Executive Manager with Independent Clinical Oncology Network (ICON), a managed care organization in South Africa. He is a registered specialist in Family Medicine, has 20 years’ experience as family physician in private Family Practice and has held leadership positions in various aspects of the health industry, e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical associations, government, or oncology. Besides his work in ICON, he lectures at University of Stellenbosch and founded Health Leadership Group which develops patient-centered and quality care not only in South Africa but in the whole region of Southern Africa. At Prague International Health Summit 2016, he presented ICON as an example of physician-led integrated care model.
